We celebrated Kelseys 9th birthday yesterday, it was a fun day! We started off the morning with her favorite breakfast...breakfast cake, bacon and oj! Then on to a present from Grandma and PopPop...Guitar Hero, at first glance we thought maybe this was a bit too much for a little girl, but after hooking it up to the wii we determined that it was a blast! You just have to ignore the rock stars...they are a little over the top!
Since this birthday wasn't a big party year she got to invite a few friends to do whatever she wanted...so she chose ice skating and pizza at Brick Oven (our traditional birthday restaurant).
Grandma and Grandpa Cook joined us along with Grandma DeeDee and PopPop, Kelseys friends: Rachel, Ani, Emma and Lauren and of course Kaden, Ellie and Haley. We had a fun lunch and headed off to the crowded Peaks Arena. The girls all had a blast and skated for over an hour and a half...it sure was cold, but they all loved it!
We ended the night with cake with the grandparents and a few more presents. Grandma and Grandpa Cook gave her a Dell Parson Calendar with her picture on the front cover...it is so fun to see that.
Grandma DeeDee and PopPop took off that night to head back to NH...Kelsey sure was glad they stuck around for her fun day!
We can't believe she's 9...her last year in the single digit age bracket!!!
